COMPETITION RULES
1. TAKING PART:
To take part in the competition, all you have to do
is vote for the best initiative project broadcast
in INITIATIVE Africa.
You can answer by:
- Email
- Questionaire
already loaded on our web site
- by normal mail
You have five weeks to get your answers in, from the
date the programme is produced.
This date is indicated for each programme in the list
of questions on the web site. The five week deadline
for responding to the questions might be less, if
there is a delay in the programme being broadcast
by a partner station.
The producers will not accept any responsibility for
this delay.
Any answers received after the closing date for each
competition can not be considered for the draw.
2. PARTICULAR CONDITIONS:
There are no particular conditions required to validate
an entry in the competition, apart from useful information
such as first and second names, complete address (including
the country).
3. THE DRAW:
Answers are collected up until the competition's closing
date for each programme. The winner is drawn from
a bag of correct answers.
The draw to find a winner takes place on a Tuesday
afternoon, before the recording of each programme
on a Thursday.
There can only be one winner for each programme. People
can take part in the competition for several programmes
and winners are entitled to take part in other competitions
for other programmes.
However, if a viewer sends several answers for the
same competition, only one of the responses will be
considered for the draw. After each draw, the winner
is announced during the programme that is produced
the same week.
The name appears on the screen and the presenter indicates
the complete name and country of origin. The name
also appears on the web site, in the list of past
competitions.
People TV reserves the right to use winners' letters
and their names during programmes and for promotional
purposes.
Winners can also send an ID photo that can be used
on the web site and on the screen. People TV keeps
answers on file in case they are needed at a future
date, relating to programmes or those taking part.
4. PRIZE MONEY:
Winners receive 100-thousand CFA francs or 150 US
dollars, according to the monetary zone that applies.
People TV takes care of the cost of the transfer.
Payment can take place several weeks after the competition
closing date.
Normally, payment is made within four weeks after
the draw, but in exceptional circumstances, the delay
can be longer.
People TV sends an email or letter to notify the winner
and indicate the transfer reference numbers.
There are no restrictions on how the winner uses the
prize money.
